Hello !

I am having some difficulties on finding reputable chess store (not manufacturer) in China, to whom I would offer cooperation regarding my chess pieces.
The chess game is very popular there and since it is a big market, who knows....

Since I am not sure if we have any member from China - can anybody tell me, what should I be looking for in Google ? Frazes "China chess store" and similar does not work.

Thank you all in advance for possbile help.

In addition..... i dont think China is that big on European Chess.......Chinese Chess..... Yes

I am refering to "regular" Staunton chess pieces, that I make. I know that there is a lot of manufacturers in China, making cheap, few $ worth pieces and sets. What I look for is a shop (also online) that is working in China market.
An advice is more than welcome, thanks.

I wouldn't even know where to find a "chess store" in the US. Chess sets are sold in shops that sells games, toys, novelties, etc., as well as online. But even if there were such a shop, it wouldn't be called "U.S. Chess Store." I think all you can do is search online for vendors who sell custom, hand-made chess sets, but I'm not sure how that would help you.

Gotta agree. There are a handful of websites dedicated to Chess products that are seen as top shelf. I'm not aware of ANY brick and mortar stores that are nearly as exclusive in the States or in China.

Best bet is to try marketing to some of the sites I mentioned, but they will be hard to get into before you have a niche following of your own. I've been developing chess pieces for the better part of 10 years, and haven't gotten to where I want to be yet.

you might try searching for "game store Beijing" or something like that.

There were chess sets (many) in the department stores, in Beijing. While I certainly did NOT get around, on my own, I saw no "specialty stores" - but it WAS decades ago.

Anybody been there, recently??
