Cheers to Rick Herrell (rherrell)! A little over a year ago I bought a set of custom step drills from Rick to build the Apollo Pen Kits from Kate Harrow (KateHarrow). I finally started turning my first Apollo kit this week using a blank from Tim Crowe at Turnt Pen Company and I must confess that Rick's step drills made drilling a much easier task than having to measure and drill several stepped holes. They simply made a perfect fit with the hardware both painless and easy. I have several other pieces of tooling from Rick and I must say the workmanship is outstanding and I would challenge any custom shop to match his prices. I agree, Rick's tooling is top notch and the prices are very reasonable. He has made several things for me and they are all great. I haven't used my 2 or 3 old blank squaring jigs since I bought his. It is so easy to use and you get great results every time.

Yes indeed - Rick has made tools for me which I couldn't have done myself, and has made it possible and/or easier to make some of the things I'd been aiming for.

I'll pile on here as well. Rick's Tools are undeniably some of the best in the entire universe of pen making tools. I. too, have his step drills (among many other tools Rick makes) and they do make drilling Apollo and Artemis barrels much simpler. I use them mostly on my Faux Cigar pens.

Agreed, everything I have purchased from Rick has been of the highest quality.
