I felt bad selling my cheaper slimlines for 20.00 , Now I feel like one of the Robber Barons, there is some Dork selling Ambonya Burl pens on eBay for 9.00, he sold a purple heart checkerboard Cigar for 15.00 Could this be the reason it's so hard to get a decent price for good pens at shows? Sorry if the Dork is a IAP member, but the guy sure makes it rough for us working folk..

Ken,

Most of the people I have met at shows don't fit the "Ebay demographic". However, I DO point out that there are MANY pencrafters and, like any hand-made product, quality can and WILL vary.

Then, I launch into a sales spiel related to doing shows for the last ten years and fixing minor problems. Develop your own spiel, but find a way to separate YOURSELF from the Hobby penturner. No matter what line of product you sell, there will ALWAYS be someone selling something similar CHEAPER.

Although all of us are "artists - give or take a little" - when you start SELLING you become a SALESMAN!! SELL the sizzle-all beef is NOT created equal!!!

Good luck!:D:D
