Just broke the anti-kickback handle on my Husqvarna chainsaw. Was the first time i really used it. I locked it when i left it down still running and when i went to unlock it it broke leaving the brake still on the blade. Will it be a big job to get a new handle and get it fixed. Still can't believe how easily it broke.

There's not much to a chain saw. I would get out the wrenches and start breaking it down. How hard could it be? What's the worse that can happen...you put all the parts into a box and take the saw to a repair shop. I do that with my car all the time..try and fix it, I make the problem worse, then I need a tow truck! But..the mechanic seems to have no problem sorting out the bins of parts I took off.

Most saws are coming with more and more plastic parts on them. The handle should not be a problem, and a good repair shop may actually have one in stock. If not, it should not be that major of a problem, unless the user is not mechanically inclined.....The part probably can be ordered and replaced.
