Hope all of you in OKC and I-40 corridor east are ok after the tornadoes of this evening. Our family personally affected as my BIL's home in Tecumseh was destroyed. Thankfully, all in the family escaped without injury. Thoughts & prayers are with all in the area.

Sorry to hear about your BIL, we here in Shawnee 10 miles from Tecumseh were spared, just heavy hail.

Our thoughts and prayers go out...

I really miss the people in Oklahoma, but I do not miss all the tornadoes that I experienced before moving to Texas. My parents were so upset after the one that hit Moore that they had a storm shelter installed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who have been affected.

Also for those effected by floods in Tennessee back east.

Yeah, Hate to hear of someone getting their stuff wiped. A good friend of mine is a roughneck. He was on the Derrick yesterday while two of them went by (Just outside of Healdton near Ardmore). He is 26 yrs old and it was the first time he saw one in person. He got pics of a little twister that was struggling to make it to the ground. Then about thirty minutes later he took a couple of pics of a MONSTER. Neat photos, but being an Okie born and bred, seeing them is no big deal anymore... Unless they are to the west of your house, Headed EAST!

Cell phone photos of the damage to SIL/BIL's home. They took shelter in a bedroom closet and, thankfully, only minor scrapes & bruises. Sadly 5 fatalities reported in OKC & Tecumseh area at this time but after all these years, I'm still amazed at the # of folks who escape with relatively minor injuries from similar damage.

We missed the severe weather in our area near Tulsa this time -- little more than a light rain. All the local TV stations preempt network programming with continuous real time storm cell tracking reports when there is a tornado warning in their viewing area. Actually a bit annoying in the past but after this, I'll not whine about it anymore!

Thanks all for the thoughts and prayers. Their daughter lives in the same neighborhood and only minor damage to her home so they have a place to stay and they do have insurance -- most things can be replaced.

Roy, glad to hear you missed the worst of it as I knew you were near the path of the storms. Home in the background of the 1st photo a good illustration of the random nature of the storms -- <100 yards away and appears no major damage.
