I made this as a gift for a family member.

The barrel if from a PSI stablized boxelder burl blank in turquoise.

Is the "Celtic Knot" inlay too much, with the clip and the figured blank?

Great look pen for sure. Top fit and finish. I like the knot. It is sharp. Not over the top at all. Some day I will learn to do that, I wish.

That is a very nice pen. Not over done at all. The knot works very well on the kit and color blank. Nicely done.

Beautiful pen! The knot is in the perfect position on the pen and compliments the overall design. Good job!

Tony -- the "knot" makes it a little on the "busy" side and distracts my eye --

If the design objective was "bling" - you are certainly towards that outcome.

Blank is a good match for the plating.
