Yep...although I can't participate, I am getting very excited about the 2010 casing pen contest coming up July 1st! Everything is slowly getting organized so Steve and I should be well prepared to hopefully run a very smooth fun contest this year.
You know, I have been part of several forums in the past and I have joined and disbanded from a few non-internet clubs as well. There is no place better than being in the IAP. This is like a brotherhood...but with some sisters included of course! I have never met such a generous bunch of people with such great enthusiasm to share and/or learn new things and generally the members here have a great sense of humor. I know all this..it's fact and comes with experience over all the time I have been here.
I randomly selected several members, many were people that I know and many are people I only know of. I asked them for prizes and prizes I received from a larger percentage of the list than I ever could have hoped for. Some of the sponsors do business here off the IAP, but not all. We have people that simply post the occasional pen and we have people that can't even really afford to donate but really want to donate no matter what. This year, we are going to have a very impressive prize list! Most of the prizes are in the $20 range, and this was on purpose....so when I say impressive I mean quantity of prizes and the size of the hearts where these prizes come from! Many people wanted to donate more, but I felt that trying to stay at $20 was for the best. We do not have to pay to be here. We do not have to pay to be in the contests that happen here. If a $20 prize is not generous to you, then you may be in the wrong forum....that is my thoughts and feelings.
So all you people that came through for me, including those that are still finalizing their prize, I can not thank you guys enough and I really really mean it!
Please do not ask me if I need more prizes, that's not what this post is about..we are good, thank you.
