Hey folks!

I bought a pressure pot for resin casting (the California Air Tools 255C). I bought it off eBay to save a few bucks, and of course it leaks. I did the water bubble test and found it's leaking from the connector that the air intake screws into, between the metal lid itself and the bottom nut (see photo). It looks like it was glued (probably by CAT). I tried loosening the nut but it doesn't want to come off. Is there a glue or sealant anyone would recommend I apply to seal the nut to the lid as-is? I'm also open to alternate suggestions :)

Thanks!

Looks like thread sealant/pipe dope.

Many are softened by heat or nail polish remover/acetone so that you can remove the fitting and replace.
