I need to get a gal. of clear casting resin but I can't remember where I bought the last one. I was checking around and prices were like $80 plus shipping. I paid like $45 with shipping from someone and the resin was good stuff. Anybody got any suggestions where a poor-boy could get a gal. with some catalest??????????????

Thanks, George

US Composites. I ordered a 5 gal pail of S41, with regular ground shipping, last Wednesday and it was delivered on Friday(2 days later). I can't complain about their service, they have great tech help, answer their phones, and are prompt with their deliveries.

Thanks y'all. Got a gal. on order now. Now if I can find the guy who make the molds. I need another set of 3/4 x 6. Somebody got a name, let me know. Thanks again.

Not to take away from anyone's sales, but you can make your own trays out of some cutting boards I believe.

Absolutely that is what I use now. You can get the Polly cutting boards. I cast slabs 5-1/2x6" I cut the board into pieces to form a box then I just use duct tape and tape it together. Then put a bead of "Goop" (it's a silicone glue you can get a wally world) around the seams smooth it out with my finger. It drys fast and you got a good cheap reusable mold. The goop comes off easy when finished. Heck I leave the tape on just cut the corners to get the slab out and just retape the corners. Any stubborn goop or resin will come off with some acetone.

I started out using mini loaf silicone baking dishes and then switched to the cutting boards. I predrilled and sunk a few screws in them but I like the goop idea. Very helpful. Ive been using caulk and it takes to long to dry.
