Is there anyone else that sells PR casting resin by the gallon besides US Composites? Surely they are not the only ones that makes this stuff.

Here's the info you should need... I ordered 1 gallon from them and I believe it was the 10LB shipping charge but I'm in southwest which costs a little more. I'm guessing the 5 gallon would be the 50LB shipping charge since 5 gallons of water weighs roughly 40lbs. So I think you're totals would be:
1 gallon Silmar41 shipped: $48.45
5 gallon Silmar41 shipped: $176.00

Close, but no cigar! You forgot the HazMat shipping fee. 5 gallons of Silmar 41 = $138 hazmat UPS from Fl to GA = $58. Total from FL to Ga = $196. To Virginia should be $20 more.
 
I ordered my gallon last Thursday and the shipping has changed. It's 18.50 S&H. The resin is 35.50 per gallon and it's no cheaper to buy 2 or 3 gallons since each gallon ships seperatly. 5 gallons has a 25.00 hazmat charge plus shipping.
 
Well I didn't pay a hazmat feed...excuse me for trying to help someone too lazy to goto the website themselves.
 
Looks like I will be ordering my resin from Illstreet Composites its 49.75 per gallon shipped to GA compared to 54.00 shipped from US Composites.
 
I'm driving over to illstreet to pickup my silmar order in a couple days. Saves me about $50 for each 5 gallons of resin. It's a 2.5hr drive each way but well worth it! They've been very easy to work with.
 
When I used PR I got it from artstuf.com and if you call you may be able to pay less for shipping but it has to go ground.
