I was wanting to know if I am using powder coating powder to color with can I save it before I put in the hardner? I have some black mixed up and no hardner in it, how long will it last if I put it in a container and put a lid on it.

Also does it just take longer for the powder coat powder to dissolve? I mixed some red and yellow to get orange and it still has little specks of yellow popping to the top.

I'm not sure that the powder coat powder will ever dissolve.

That stuff's pretty inert. You can probably save it over the short term by simply closing it up in an airtight container.

I mixed some up and let it set for about 2 hours in a sealed container. The powder coat did dissolve. I am going to mix some up and put it in the fridge and see how long it will keep.

I put pearl "liquid" in some and let it sit for several days, if not a week and it was fine when I wanted to use it.

Just keep oxygen out of the mix and you should be fine. Over time I believe oxygen can cause the PR to thicken up a bit more than you'd want.
