Hi Folks, I would like to make up some blanks based around a series of colours in, I'm guessing acrylic, to form a hooped effect on the lid of Jr Gent II pens. Colour bleed or glue lines are not an option. I have attached a link to (as I haven't figured how to resize the origional) the colours with the order and ratios. All suggestions and comments welcomed.

You could just find the colors you want and cut out pieces the thickness you want and glue them up to the blank you want them on. It would be simple segmenting. It sounds like you would like to cast them completely though? Casting them would be quite a process I am not sure how you would get that done but I am sure it can be but is it going to be worth the effort?

I agree, a straight forward glueup sounds like the way to go ... Would CA glue work and give me a clean join. I know what I mean but can't explain it ... would the glue 'melt' the colours together and leave a slight indistinction between the colours?

IAP member hornet406 can make you whatever combination of colors you desire and the the thickness you want/need.........Jan
