I know a couple of people that do auto body work so......

I was talking with one of them and my new hobby of making pens came up.
I showed him one of my feeble attempts at a pen.
I explained that I made the blank portion from resin and colored it with mica from the store.
To my surprise, he stopped by today and dropped off a box of auto paint colorants and assured me they will work great with resin.
They are only small amounts of left-overs and discontinued materials, but he said he can get me some of the good stuff if I like what he gave me.

I have a couple of commitments of pens and blanks. Those people might get something from these.

I use some automotive mica's in my blanks. they work great.

Have you used the Cadillac red from a few years ago?
I have some of that and it looks really nice, but I haven't cast any of it yet.
I'll have to look at the name of it, but I don't think that color is used any longer. And when the earthquake hit Japan, the color wasn't even available for quite some time, since it was manufactured in Japan.

What are some of the colors you have used?

Off the top of my head one called tropic sunrise and one called dynacolor blue.
