I've been doing some tube in clear casting for almost a year now and going to try casting a few color blanks. What type of information do you keep and log when you pour? I was thinking defiantly the amount of resin, pigment type and amount and the amount of MEPK along with the temperature.

I probably keep a lot less information than I should. I write the amount of MEKP (drops / ounce equiv) on the container of each of my colorants that will get me close to my desired open time.

In the winter I adjust the amount of MEKP up and in the summer I use less.

Works for me, but then I never try and reproduce something I made previously.

I typically just keep record of the colors used and pouring method. There are so many variables that alter the gel time I stopped trying to keep track of it all. Now if I were in a temp controlled environment that'd be different!

Ed makes a good point with keeping track of what colors gel faster or slower. I've mistimed so much resin that info is clearly stuck in my brain.
