For up coming craft shows.
RE Pen Blanks using pen turning wood shavings.
The green is Green Dyed Curly Maple, the red is Bloodwood and the Red and Green is a mixture of Green Dyed Curly Maple and the Bloodwood.

All cast using Polyester resin and Resin Saver mold.

Les they are fantastic. At the risk of looking silly as this might have been covered before, but can you explain how you did the blanks. What size were the shavings.

Outstanding stuff coming from Canada!
Take it these blanks are made from shavings from your turnings? Are you painting the tubes at all before affixing the shavings??

I'd like to sit in your basement during a casting!

Thanks Scott,

Yep, I save all my wood shavings from turning pen blanks.
I don't paint the tubes, just rough up with 220x.

That is ingenious! I've burned through half a gallon of resin trying to get some good christmas blanks and not been happy with the results. Yours look great!
