Casting Carbon Fiber

I was thinking about casting a carbon fiber blank or 2 as in the tutorial and was wondering if anyone had or knew of a place where I could get my hands on a few small pieces to play around with.

I've emailed places and asked for samples. Most of them were actually large enough to make pen bodys out of.

What size tube should I get to fit a cigar or jr gent tube?

The smallest tube sheathing that Soller sells, I believe 1/2, works nicely with Epoxy glue.

They seem to have a 1/4" cf bi axial sleeve. Is that what you mean or the
1/2" sleeve?

Thank you for all of the advice. So just to clarify the most common one used is the 100% carbon fiber bi-axial braid 1/2 in diameter correct?

That's what I use. Don't know if it's the most common though
