Hey Darryl,
I live just down the road in Greenville SC
I too ama Dummy looking for casting info.
I recently purchased my molds from Fred - Highly reccomended!
My Slimar 41 arrived from Composite one a few days ago
Now am I considering the purchase of an ultrasonic machine to heating the Silmar?
I am hoping to start with some clear tube casting - I don't have any colors yet, that will be the next step.
Check out YouTube search Grub32 - Also a forum member - great videos on casting and several other topics.

Look in the library...there are several for your reading enjoyment. One or two of them even show how to make your own molds.

+1 for the library tutorials. I only used those and was able to get a good feel for it when I started casting.

+2 on the Library for many articles on casting. You can also Google casting acrylics and find more info than you probably want.
