The Woodcraft has unfortunately closed and is being re-located, hopefully to re-open sometime this Fall. Harbor Freight is within a 1/4 mile of Klingspors (a little farther north on US1). There is East Wake Hardwoods in Wendel about 1/2 outside of Raleigh with a great woodworking/turning gallery and nice lumber stock also. The State Fair starts tomorrow (10/12) and there is usually some good working displays. There are a few good hardwood retailers but they're nothing too exciting.

There's also:
Woodworker's Supply in Graham (http://woodworker.com),
the Hardwood Store of NC in Gibsonville (http://www.hardwoodstore.com),
and Capitol City Lumber in Raleigh (http://www.capitolcitylumber.com).

If you decide to stray over to the Hampton Roads area there is always my house in Chesapeake! I'll show you my pressure/vacuum pot!! I've even got a blank (or three) that I am willing to part with!!![:D]

Thanks for the pointers and offers guys. Looks like the hours on most of the stores means I won't be making a visit due to the length of the training classes I'll be taking. I am leaving early tomorrow so I can make it to Klingspor before they close. Chesapeake is a bit off my path for this trip Scott, but you're welcome to hang on to those blanks for me and host the next NOVA picnic. [:D]
