Trying to cast some carbon fiber blanks for watch part pens. This stuff is kicking my tail. I've read all the post and watched the videos, and have yet to get one to work out. The biggest problem is it unravels when I put the tube in. I cut them over twice the amount I need and they still do it. The ends look like crap. Am I doing something wrong, wron material or is this just a learning curve?

It sounds like you are using carbon fiber fabric sheets, not woven carbon fiber sleeves. Do a search on carbon fiber braided sleeves.

I am using the sleeves from the same place listed in the how to in the libary. I used 2 part epoxy on the first few with poor results. Used CA on the last couple with a little better results. I'll keep playing with it till I get it worked out.

Learning curve. You can't muck about too much with the ends or it will unravel.
Sharp scissors
1/2" sleeve
Don't cut yourself short
Roll the ends in epoxy after the sleeve is on
Trim to length after the epoxy is dry and hard

Keep after it, pretty easy once you get past the curve. Unless the casting demons pop up......

I was having the same problem so I changed the process. I was having the ends "bulging". I started putting the tubes in first and then rolling in the epoxy. Then putting them in the heat shrink to pull it closer to the tube. Just my way.
