Can anyone tell me how to make a segmented heart?

Just guessing, but looks to me like someone might have stained or painted veneer and then wrapped that around the tube and cast clear alumilite over it.

Yep, that is a Kallenshaan Laser cut blank, available at Exotic https://www.exoticblanks.com/segmented-heart-inlay-kit-2-in-1.html. Ken's kits are amazing, the hearts or crosses are great ones to start with. Make no mistake, they are a challenge--especially when you get to the little dogs or the acoustic guitar builds. Actually, i'm challenged by the puzzle blanks!! That said--an e-mail to Kallenshaan will get replacement parts...even when it's my own fault. I usually build a few in the winter, when i've got the time to be patient.
