Here's a good one. Yesterday I got a acrylic camo blank from Woodturningz. Showed the wife and said I was going to make a couple bullet pens with it. Went to the shop cut ,drilled and glued in to tubes. Went out this morning CANT FIND IT. Honest. It has to be there somewhere. I cant tell the wife I will never hear the end of this one.

CAN'T FIND IT...
That's why you dont tell her it's gone. It exploded while you were working on it. And you had to toss it out.
We all know how gentle you have to be with acrylic.
 
Found one half

Hey John Went out this morning and found 1 half. Was mixed up with someother glued up blanks. I didnt put it there. ( Well I dont remember anyways) Still looking for the other. I must need to take a break. Made a cigar backwards today. Man it was deer antler too. Hard as a rock. But starting next weekend I have 4 weekend shows straight. But I should have enough made. Never know what will sell. Rich H
 
Rich, hey you're half way there with that blank! Other half will appear.
.. I know what you mean about a break sometimes.
Sorry about the cigar, I think most all of us have done it!

I agree that they're gremlins. They use to follow me around at work and hide tools I was using. Now that I've retired they followed me home and live under my lathe.

It sounds like a workshop gremlin FOR SURE!! I thought they perfered wood more than acrylic though :confused: LoL
 
I have a grocery store gremlin. I will be 5 - 6ft away and loaves of bread jump off the shelves and no one else is around. Boxes fall after I have passed by and various other things. I wish he would find a way to lower the bills instead :tongue:
