Thinking of taking a calligraphy class or two. Will the CSUSA calligraphy nibs be good enough to start with? Are these dipping nibs or can I use with a convertor? Can I use the same ink as in my fountain pen or should I get something else. Any guidance appreciated.

Bruce - You need to find out whether they are teaching "dip" style calligraphy or not. The nibs from CSUSA are ok for a beginner and they fit CSUSA's Juniors as well as the Baron. You can use the nibs with converters (purchased separately from CSUSA kits) or with cartridges. If you decide to go the dip route, you will definitely want different ink. If you choose that option, I can link you to some great dipping inks.
