Lin one, I must say that is really nice Butterfly carving you done, may i ask what type of wood you use to make the carving?
I can appreciate your craftmanship, I been a wood carver/sculpture since 2003.I have made Bears, fish,Christ head,Indian maiden head, turtle, mountaineer man, angel, buffalo,Santa. Now im making executive pens and enjoying every minute,I even started casting acrylics, I got my molds from Joe @ the pen wizard what a really nice guy he is, I think his molds are super cigar, euro, gatsby, monet.
I sure like to talk to you about your butterfly sculpture.
Take care! send me a private message Joe has given me you ph. # I will wait to hear back first, before i call you. Best regards, Louie B.
I would love to make one, do you have a pattern you are willing to share?

Very nice! What is the wood if I may ask?
The wings are cut from knotty pine planks. the top wings are stained with heave cherry jel stain. And the bottom is a honey stain. The body is carved from one large peace of Maryland Red Ceder.
The measurements are 24 inches wide from side to side and 29 and 1/2 inches tall or long, not counting the wire antinas. OK?
