All very nice. I like the form of the first turquoise filled the best, and really like the rim treatment you have on the lapis filled form.

Lots and lots of character on those chunks of wood that you turned very graciously. Those fillings do suit the wood and pieces in general, congrats...!

Only one thing bugs me, and that is the word "Burr" I wonder why that name when, the common name is "burl"...??? Just one of those things that I never manage to work out so, if you have an explanation, I would like to hear it, please...!!!:biggrin:

I cant seem to understand your bug bear George  maybe your just a bit dizzy what with living "down under" and having those corks swinging around infront of your eyes all day long :bulgy-eyes: why not pop over to my workshop (the right way up) and all will seem better. :)

Very nice George. What finish treatment did you use? When you set the fill in did you use CA glue? I can't decide which one is my favorite....hmmmm.

Hahahah, the only cork around me is the one I use to make my Resifills with and they certainly don't hang in my heat to keep the flye's away, we don't have many of those up here...! He get March flye's instead they are big and bite like hell, you come up with huge lumps from where they gottcha good and proper...!

The thing with the word "burr" that I see lots of people associated with wood "burls" is that, the definitions I looked at, none showed to have anything to do with wood, and maybe someone have already explained that but, I'm not aware of it, otherwise, I wouldn't ask, huh...???:biggrin:
