Burr Elm Fountain Pen & a question

Hi All,

Turned my first fountain pen and I'm pretty happy with the results. Burr elm, with the burr voids filled in with gold paint. Sanded back to 400, then waxed.

I have a question. I showed this to a friend of mine who writes with a fountain pen and he liked it, but said he'd prefer if the grip end with the nib was wider as he had "big clattery west of ireland hands" (actual quote :wink. Can anyone recommend an alternative kit with a wider grip for the nib and a very high quality nib? He's willing to pay 60+ euros for the right pen.

Limited availability in the UK, but the Chairman/Snr Gent or the Ligero, with an upgrade to a Bock nib. Just sent a PM with some suppliers etc.

I have the Jr Statesmen pen kits. I don't know if they are a bit heftier than these though.

Thanks Keith, are you going to the chapter meeting on Monday? Can I buy one of those kits off you? What bushings do I need?
