I was trying to get dinner ready----cooking out on the grill and we got side tracked-----Oh well burnt dinner is fine.
Look at what came up the driveway------Monster Red Oak burl.
As soon as I eat the burnt food I am going to get it cut up---you just can't beat having friends in the right places.

If you think about it----we eat dinner every night---this is only my second whole Red Oak Burl---burning dinner was the last thing on my mind---but we did take pics for you folks while dinner was burning---that may be a little strange----nahhhh

Nice score! You can have dinner every night...but not get burl like this often. Good that you have your priorities right [;)][}:)] LOL

CONGRATS!

I need to add a little something here. I do pay for this wood. But that part is easy because my friends wife really likes my craftsmanship---we do some trading.
Now that it is cut up---I got three real nice burls off the log. They are sealed with Anchorseal and will sit until I get some time to bust them down into smaller blocks. I would guess that I have about 300lbs of Red Oak burl from this log.
