I have a new neighbor (as of maybe a week ago) who is a beekeeper. I thought about making something like this as a welcome gift. I'm sure the bees will appreciate my weeds and lack of pesticide use.

Great idea, nice welcome gesture. Now, I am not an expert, nor even very knowledgable. But it seems that those bees that keepers prefer have more of an orange or copper color. So, would that bee (pun intended) a more suitable color choice, if available?
