I need some Water Buffalo Horn blanks that are a little fatter than 3/4". No one seems to sell them so I was looking into buy whole horn. I've found several sources. What I don't know is how much blank material I can reasonably expect to harvest from each horn. That's because I've never seen a whole horn myself. I don't know if they are hollow, and the blanks are cut from the walls, or if I can expect most of it to be solid. I was wondering if any of you guys or gals could enlighten me. The horns I've seen offered were 12" - 16" in length. Thanks.

Tim,

If you are looking to buy one, I would think it would be reasonable to ask for a picture from the bottom.

Having never done this, I may be absolutely wrong, but that is where I would start!

FWIW,
Ed

Thanks I'll probably do that if I decide to order, but I'm sure we have members here who have had eyes on, who can comment. I always get good advice from out members.
