Would there be interest in holding a Bubbasville get-together in Nashville, Tennessee sometime in June? I don't have much of a shop but I do have a great big empty parking lot where we can set up lawn chairs and where (with adequate extension cords) we can have lathes and show one another our marvelous techniques.

I'd be happy to host if we have enough interest.

Julie,
Dianne and I would be interested... it would have to be late in June though.. we have to go to Vegas the first weekend for my son's wedding.. and I have my Telliquah Trade days the other weekends, but could skip one day.

Well, I'm no expert at all but I think this is what we call a gathering of penturners who come together with the purpose of seeing a demonstration, admiring one another's work, sharing blanks or other material, and eating and drinking. Anyway - that's what I mean by Bubbasville.

There doesn't seem to be much interest right now. Maybe another time.

well I think it sounds like a great time. Even though it is a long way from Iowa. I always have interest in going somewhere that I can get together with others and learn something. If you decide to do it at a later date please let me know. Thanks

Dave,

I will definitely let you know. In the meantime, I think there's a Provo, Utah penturners gathering soon. I think it's scheduled to coincide with the Utah Woodturner's meeting. That might be closer to you and it looked like there would be a bunch of people there. I wish I had a link to give you but you can Google it and probably find it. I know it's in Provo.

Julia,
I'd be interested in going. I will be in Huntsville for the summer, with some weekend trips back to Arkansas. I can probably "arrange" to be in Huntsville for the chosen weekend.
