With all the snow we've had I was getting cabin fever, so I went out and shoveled the driveway. This morning it warmed up to 17 and I lit the smoker, put in some whiskey barrel white oak and some hickory chips, a big pork butt with a home made dry rub, and am now waiting. Cook it low and slow. Oh, the temp now is about 22.

Heck Tom You should call some friends when you do this. I've had cabin fever for a month and would love some good PORK BUTT!!!

Next time we have a meeting here I might smoke a butt and make BBQ. Todd I will expect that slaw. I'll furnish you a fork this time.

Serving food like that is likely to get you quite a few visitors,I know I would show up if Kentucky wasn't so far away. Thanks for the links. I had not seen Barbecueweb and have only recently found the smoking meat forum.
