I was wondering if anyone knows of a place that sells Briar pen blanks?

I got one from Lou a while back (DCBluesman) to make for a friend of mine who's an avid pipe smoker...That pen turned out beautifully! I'll get a picture up as soon as I can...

Trouble is, I now want one for myself! Short of cutting up one of my favourite pipes, I don't know where to look. Does anyone know of a vendor that sells briar (white heath?) burl pen blanks? I think most ebachaum pipe blanks would be too short, so I haven't found any online pipe vendors that would have what I need either...

SO hopefully someone can help me search for a store that sells Briar pen blanks! Thanks for the help!

I got some briar root off eBay last year.

ebay might be a good source - never looked into them...usually kills me with the international shipping costs...

Looking at the price of large pipe blanks, briar's going to be an expensive pen!

I'll have to giev pipeyeti a PM and see if he has any scraps lying around! I just thought there might be a pen blank source I was overlooking...

MacBeath Hardwoods does they are on the net. Berkey CA store has it for sure
