Breaking down a pen

I recently put together a cartridge pen; however, I noticed that I forgot to put in a little copper sleeve that is needed for the click side to work. Is there anyway to take a pen apart without damaging it after it has been pressed together?

To take most pens apart, a transfer punch set is hard to beat. I got mine from HF, like most. I believe it's $10 give or take a dollar or two. For this particular instance, it's hard to advise without knowing the specific pen you're looking to disassemble.
