Yup, looks like Rachel and I are having a boy! Whew! I was sweating those pre-teen thru college years of a daughter already, what a load off haha! We're both thrilled. I already have a Bob the Builder video I can start using as propaganda :biggrin::biggrin: Our son is due on Feb. 2, Groundhog Day!

That's awesome! Is this your first? My first is a girl. I'm not Marco Polo, but I've been around the block a few times. I can tell you without any hesitation that the birth of my first child is at the very top of my life highlights. I'm sure it will be for you too. Cherish every single moment of it.

Thats awsome Brian.. congrats to the two of you!

Groundhog Day??? Let's hope he's not like Punxsutawney Phil... pop's his head out and figures he should stay inside the ole' borough another 6 weeks!!!:biggrin::biggrin:

Way to go Brian. Congratulations. I hope you remember how this happened. First there is the one, then next thing you know time to sell the Camaro and get a minivan. Oh well, you can fit more wood into a minivan than a Camaro any day.

Congrats Brian! We have 2 boys and they will keep you on your toes but remember what they say. When you have a boy you only have to worry about 1 boy. When you have a girl, you have to worry about ALL the boys

Oh, and I was due on Feb 1st, didn't show until the 19th

Congratulations Brian, I have 2 sons and a daughter, my youngest son was far more worry than my daughter, she's 20 now and all grown up (she thinks).

Fantastic, I know you said everyone saying it was going to be a girl last week at the meeting. You must be extactic that you are going to have a little turner now.

Congrats Brian. IS this your first? I have a lot of fun with my son who is two now. He comes in my shop and helps me by opening and closing the vice and stuff.

Well, well, well......a boy, huh? Start saving now and make sure you have a good line of credit!! Congrats!! Thing about boys, they will grow in any kind of dirt!!

Congratulations! It's a lot of work, but a lot of fun, too. We have a boy already, and a girl on the way, due about a month before you.

Congratulations Brian & Rachel ! I can remember the day (night) Chuck Jr. was born . It really is a BIG DEAL ! Hope all goes well , and remember , no pics , didn't happen !

Thanks everybody! Yes, it is our first, and I recognize we're in for a rude awakening!! One of the first things Rachel said to me about our son is that she's worried he's going to bring all kinds of creatures into the house to show her, haha. My wife hates bugs.....

The funniest thing is that EVERY old wives tale, every Italian woman reading her face shape, every Chinese calendar predictor, and every online quiz she took said she should have a girl. HA!! Guess we proved EVERYONE wrong! That's just my kind of boy, already doing his own thing and doing what he wants despite what everyone else says he should. He takes after his dad :biggrin::biggrin:

Sorry to tell you buddy, but you need sleep in order to have any awakening. LOL:eek:. Don't worry, that only lasts about...........Anyway, good luck..... Im just kidding, it's not too bad. Honestly though, I wish you guys the best, and if you need anything, just ask as we just had a boy 2 years ago.

When she's in the 13th hour of hard labor and she whispers for you to get a little closer .... make sure to protect your "Vital assets" or there might not be a second :biggrin:
Congratulations to the both of you .

Brian!

Congratulations! We will have to get your son and mine together when they both get old enough for some Shop Time.

Best to both you and Rachel!

Better wait and see.

Hey i was telling my wife about you and she said don't be surprised at the birth. She has friends that were told by Doctors and ultrasounds that they too were having boy's and ended up with girls and visversa. Just to let you know.:cool::cool::cool:

Yeah, that would be a treat:eek: I've heard that's more common with girls coming out as boys....y'know, it's easier to miss girl parts on an ultrasound than boy parts....we're having a more detailed ultrasound on monday, so that'll be another indicator:wink: I hope it is a boy, or I have some Bob the Builder propaganda to return...

The births of all of my children have been the greatest moments of my life. 4 times I have been right where you are now. The first is the hardest though as you never know exactly what lies just around the corner. Just remember always. Your children will grow up regardless of how bad you screw it up. Don't panic just because they are crying, it is the only sound they can make. And most important take a little time every day to just set and watch them, look for every now face they can make. count there fingers and toes again. In short memorize everything about them, because tomorrow it will all be different. It really does go by that fast.
It is the hardest job you will ever have but the pay is completely off the scale.
