Well, I went bowl blanking today Varieties include, Osage Orange, Spalted Maple, Spalted Maple Burl, and Hickory.
And the wife Anchor Sealed them. Tomorrow, I'm hoping to rough them out.

When I first started working wood about 39 years ago, I started out as a bowl turner, that is all I made. Pen kits were never even heard of back then. I really enjoyed making bowl blanks. Great job on your blanks. Thanks for sharing. Aloha.

Some day I need to muster up enough courage to try bowl turning. I'm just not there yet - compared to a pen blank that's a huge chunk of spinning material. - Nice collection of wood species there. - Dave
