Ever since I saw the bottle stopper hats I have been wanting to try them, so I ordered the stoppers from PSI. About a Year ago I Picked up a box of hard wood blocks that are 3 1/2" squared, so I cut them down to 2" X 2" x 3 1/2" and chucked them up and started turning. The one on the right was the first, then I got the idea to try a hat band, so I cut off a 1/4" and glued in a piece of black plastic that I had laying around (I am going to try with some pick guard when I get some) and the last (on the left) I tried a Derby style. #1 has Mylands friction polish and the other two has a CA finish.
Any comments welcome! Thanks for looking. :)

Very cool idea. I've made various standard stopper types, but have not seen hats like this. Well done. Also agree with burning in your hat band. Should make it easier for you... They look great, keep it up.
