Been pretty busy so it has been hard to find time in the shop. I was excited to get enough time to make his book display. It's made with curly maple and genuine mahogany with a couple strips of 1/4 inch walnut to make up the space lost to the 1/2 inch shelf that the book rests on. Finished with a mixture of pure tung oil and orange oil.

Very nice book stand. Have seen them in stores for holding recipe books. I noticed some have an "arm" to keep the pages from turning while reading.

That is a nice looking bookstand. With the electronic bookreaders in use today, you don't seem to see the bookstands as much.

That is very nice.

If someone says they don't use cookbooks anymore, tell'em it's an iPad stand, also!
