At least when talking about cutting boards.

Since the start of April, we have been fortunate enough to sell three 15"x19"x2" solid walnut cutting boards plus a walnut 15"x12"x1-1/2 board. That's $750 which is plenty good to me. Numerous smaller boards were also sold.

Customers have been unsatisfied with the 15x12 size complaining that it was too small. So we made "brisket boards" to solve the problem. It worked. At $200 each you need a serious buyer.

I just returned from a very long 7 hour trip to my wood Mecca "Austin Hardwood and Hardware". I bought 8/4 gorgeous walnut, enough for 4 or 5 boards. The board feet calculator indicates each board will run less than $50. That works for me. Please don't send me your spreadsheet indicating how you price stuff - remember I've sold $1300 since the start of the month. I have figured how to make money in this business and enjoy it too. Penny pinching just gives you a headache. This year the profits chilled my wine storage room and bought this Laguna dust collector among other purchases.

Now for clamps and Titebond 3 glue!
