Very Cool - Like Mark, I too recognize a few that have had a presence in the IAP forums. There are so many outstanding pen makers out there, I'm sure the list would be more like 6200 or 62,000 if they were all to be included. Thanks Wayne for posting about it. - Dave

Nice article to read. But to me lots of things can be open for debate in what they call custom and why does it have to be a fountain pen? Just saying.

With this list, you have to consider the fact that Galen Leather is a fountain pen dealer and maker of high-end pen accessories targeted toward fountain pen users/collectors. They are also very active in the international pen show scene. As this list changes yearly, I notice that most (it not all) of the makers on the list are also active in the pen show scene. I have been to two pen shows, and they are probably 90%+ fountain pen-related. If they are not fountain pens, they are typically selling vintage rollerballs.

That is part of the age old question that has been debated here many times especially when the dreaded "Bespoke" word shows up.
