Thanks for accepting me into the world of penmakers. I am in the process of saving for a starter kit from Woodcraft. My brother and I went to a Woodworking show in Novi, mi., where we sat in on a demo from Barry Gross, who's book I bought a month ago. Now my brother is interested in pen turning. Thanks again for inviting me into the world of penmaking.:)

Welcome. I was at the show, also, and sat in Barry's casting demo. He baited the hook, and I took it. Now if the temp can get somewhere north of 30, I'll try heating the shop and try my hand at casting. The message sounded very familiar "easy to learn, few tools needed". The same message when I started turning......
