I finally got that smart car and put a wrap on it. There were lots of compelling reasons including:

Gets noticed at stop lights.

Gets around 40 mpg, so is a good car to do errands like the post office. :)

Is small enough to fit in the garage with the other 2 cars and still have room for the garbage can and bikes and stuff.

Is a good car for my son to drive in a couple years.

Dirt cheap to insure. Cheaper than 99% of cars to insure. :)

Very inexpensive including the wrap, and got 1.9% financing so should pay for itself very easily. Payments of 1 ring per month.

The car wrap and mileage can be written off as business expenses.

Darn fun to drive.

I did make a new plug on the front bumper that was missing. It covers a hole used for towing. I CNC'ed a new one from plastic when I saw that one arriving from the dealer would be too late, and the wrapping would start before then.

Will we be seeing you driving up at the local Woodcraft anytime soon. I bet the gang there will have a blast trying to see how much "stuff" you can get in it.

Congratulations on the vehicle and I hope you really enjoy it. :glasses-cool:

Very sharp looking wheels there Bruce, should increase your sales as well. I would buy one to, but there still are to many big cars on the road for me to drive one and feel safe.

It's really strange to park. You pull into the garage with what you feel is the proper amount of clearance behind you and you get out to see there's about 5 feet back there.

Bruce, you always have a reserved parking spot in the back of my pickup...LOL....Looks great, and I hope it brings in a bunch of new business for you.

We don't see many of those down here. They get lost in all the pickups and suvs. I took my wife to Paris last year and that is most of what we saw. They were like little ants running around. Great job on the wrap, it will get noticed.

The car looks great! Should get you some more business! But aren't you afraid of getting into and accident with one of those things? I don't care what the crash rating says, the truck will win (and win BIG).

Will fit in the back of a pick up or suv as a spare in case of a breakdown of a real car.:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::tongue:

It doesn't bother you to know they EXPECT you to have to be towed often enough to make it convenient???:biggrin::biggrin::eek::eek:

Yes, I do know the "motor home" crowd will use it as a "spare car" in case they get a flat!!

That's a great idea...those cars get noticed anyway, why not use it to advertise. Someone here at work has one and there is always someone in the lot looking in the window.
How often do you need to replace the bearings on the squirrel wheel?
Honestly though, 40mpg is nothing to sneeze at! We're getting about 51mpg in the Prius :)

Being that it's a third car, we haven't driven on snow or ice. It's surprisingly heavy. It's true that you can't change the laws of physics, but it is a relatively safe car with its roll bar, crumple zone, and airbags. It's made by Mercedes and got a 5 star crash rating on one of their tests. The car is made with interchangeable panels, so the body can be changed at will. This one started as a blue car, but we wanted a white car so they just changed out the panels.

That's convenient... if you get into a "Cannonball run"... instead of having high pressure hose wash the color off the car, just hide long enough to change out the panels... then the police that were chasing a blue car now can't find you because it's a white car..:biggrin::biggrin:

I understand the car was designed for a 6' 6" person. It's not so much a small car as it is a short car. There's plenty of room inside. It's like the front half of a normal car.

Spare parts??

Bruce, have you checked to see if the panels are interchangeable with your dishwasher or oven panels??:biggrin:
