Beaufort Ink tools

So I asked the question the other day about pen presses. I've been a big, big supporter of PSI for a lot of years now but my old PSI press has finally said "Enough" and gives me more problems that make me want to throw it across the shop (hard to do as it's bolted to one of my benches). I've been looking at the Beaufort Ink press and think it might just fit the bill. Cost is not an issue although I like to control them as much as possible. But efficiency does come into play. I started looking at the Beaufort Inks website but all I can see is that it will come from the UK. I love the UK so not a problem but, U.S. customs seems to really like destroying inbound mail so I'm wondering if there is a U.S. based company that sells this press? Turners Warehouse is a distributor for them but I don't see the press I'm looking at on the Turners website. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

I used a "purpose-built" pen press for a number of years, but it could be challenging when Assembling some kits. About 15 years ago, I switched over to using a Zyliss vise and never looked back. Because it is a strong vice, it takes very little effort to press kits and I can use a very light touch when needed even on tough assemblies. I made some wooden vise pads that ensure that the kit parts are not marked. If you shop around, you can find one for about $30 $35. It adds the ability to use the vise for other tasks at my assembly bench. Well worth considering...

This is the press I bought 2 years ago. I really like it, although it was a bit pricey.

Can't tell you how many times i've nearly bought a Zyliss Vise in the last 10 years. This use may put me over the top--they look incredibly cool!!

I use the lathe and a set of these - https://www.machinery4wood.co.uk/Charnwood-PP2MT-Pen-Press/P454 - simple and inexpensive. One has to be careful when pressing the parts, but I've not trashed a pen yet!

I use my lathe with two nylon pieces turned to MT2 taper . Have been using it for past 3 years without any failure . I am pretty much satisfied and do not intend to invest on any press .
