I figured it out----temps here are hitting a 100 degress just about every day now--------so-------------I am working thrid shift. It's 2;30 am and I am headed to the shop after I drink one more cup of coffee.
The invented this newfangled thing a while back. It's really something; you put this box in a window or a wall and you plug it in the the electricity and by some sort of magic cold air comes out of the vents. I think they named it an Air Conditioner! [}] [] [:0]
BTW: I'm being facetious, It's very hot in my shop as well and I do not have one of those newfangled gizmo's in the wall but I wish I did. []
My shop has air conditioning:
when the air outside changes, the conditions in my shop match whatever it's like out there. []
It was over 100-degrees in the shop the other night. I was doing the final glue-up on a bookcase and within 30 minutes my freshly washed T-shirt was soaked thru and I was dripping wet.
Gotta love August in Florida. [B)]
I work in a non temperature controlled warehouse. In the summer if someone complains about how hot it is I remind them that in 6 months they'll be complaining about how cold it is. And in the winter when they complain about the cold, I remind them that they complained about the heat.[] Some people are just never satisfied.[]
Gary,
I realized you are in Kentucky, so I wont say anything about "100" degrees. I "suppose" you have humidity.[8D][8D] We have been fairly dry and around 110 to 115. Everyone says, "but it's a dry heat". Ya, so is my oven in the kitchen!
Being the superstitious sort that I am, I'll lay odds that my airconditioner blew out cause ya'll were talking about the heat![}]
I went and picked a portable airconditioner to roll back to the bedroom area, just to keep the heat at bay, till we can get a new 3ton unit in middle of next week.
After the new compressor unit is in I'll roll that portable back to the shop out in the back of the house and work in peace and comfort.[]
