Here are the answers to the 4 questions for Puzzle #5
1. The upper barrel was made from a golf club shaft
2. The bottom part of the pen was made from corian and guitar picks
3. The pen maker was Branden Wong (penl8the)
4. The particular challenge was making a tapered sleeve for a 7 mm tube to fit inside the tapered golf shaft
Each question was worth 1/2 point. If you only got "corian" or "guitar picks" for question #2, I awarded you 0.25 points for a half-answer. I accepted any answer for question 4 that showed that you understood the nature of the challenge involved. The exact wording of your answer was not important.
