Barracuda 2

I am having a problem with my Barracuda 2 chuck. It is jammed up. Wont turn at all. Anybody know what I should do?

Don't have one but that chuck got good reviews...wonder what happened.

Did you call your vendor?

It is is me...I'll bang each jaw a bit with a wooden mallet []

You probably is getting dirty in the back of it. Try blowing it out. Its a common problem on most open backed chucks. Oh and take the jaws off to clean.

Are the jaws all the way open or closed? I would try taping the jaws a little in, try it, then tap them out a little and try it again. The back plate has a sprial cut in it to catch teeth in the back of the jaws. As the backplate is turned by the key it moves them in or out. If you can get it moving and get the jaws out, make sure to number them or watch what jaw goes in what place. The "gears" are cut on the jaws at a different starting point so they all meet in the center.

Thanks. I did all of those things and fixed it. I guess I will have to blow it out more often. Thanks
