This is maple and bloodwood on a black enamel cigar. Probably the 3rd ever segmented pen.

Lots of fun to assemble and turn. I learned a lot on this pen, some things I would do differently today.

Yes, my photography is not so good.

My process was a bit wasteful as I angle cut the bloodwood to match the angle of the maple cut. I wanted the grain lines to run true from one wood to the next. As you can see, when I actually squared the blanks, I did not do a great job of lining up the bloodwood so the line was consistent from top to bottom barrel.
