Bald Eagle

I was at a local lake for a sailboat race when a bald eagle flew by to do some fishing. He missed the fish on his first attempt:

But he flew around to try again:

And he got one on the second pass:

What camera please?

I used a Canon 7D MkII with a 70-300mm L lens. That wasn't the best lens (nor camera settings) for bird photography -- I was out taking pictures of sailboats. The lighting wasn't great either (backlit) The photos could be much better, but I'm generally pleased with the snapshots I was able to get.
