I have not turned much bakelite. But someone told Dawn that the CA ate the inside of their bakelite blank.

Comments!!

Do we need to put a warning with our bakelite??

Actually, it was just the gossamer and it created a small "bubble" where it touched the outside of the blank. Fortunately, it is beneath the clip.

I've only used two part epoxy so far with the bakelite I have bought from Dawn and have had no trouble.

Just did a lemon yellow bakelite over the weekend which when turned down you can see through barrel at points and looks fine.

Wow... I havn't turned my bakelite yet, but given the rarity of that stuff.... a warning that someone has had issues may be in order. Personally I'm gonna use epoxy when I do mine now.

And I'm normally a CA for everything guy.
