A couple of months ago I wrote how quiet the house was without my youngest daughter rampaging around the place. She had left for Marine boot camp at Parris Island SC. Well, she's doing well.... make that great. She even wrote me a letter apologizing for how crazy she has made her mom and me and now knows what discipline is. The coolest thing, though, is that she made "Expert Marksman" on the rifle range. In fact, she beat out every other recruit on the base!

Four more weeks and we'll be in SC for the graduation.

Thanks for listening.

Ooo Rah!!

Isn't it something to see your "baby", in a manner of weeks, begin to grow into being a resposible woman?!!! Awesome! It would be nice if most youngun's could experience a bit of the same discipline!! And a lot of adults for that matter!!! And if you think she has changed now, just wait till these last four weeks are over. They are typically when the most growth is seen. Do her a big favor when you go to graduation. She will not be considered a Marine by the Corps until pronounced so at graduation. A recruit has to earn that title ya know. They are typically still not allowed to get all huggy and emotional yet. Once the ceremony is over, hug her all ya want. And tell my little sister an ol' grunt is proud to have her in his Corps and her service is just beginning!!!

<b>If the Army and the Navy Ever gaze on Heaven's scenes,

They will find the streets are guarded By United States Marines.
