I received my first gold pigment yesterday and couldnt wait to mix up a batch. Here is the result. Im not real sure of what the gold and red block is going to produce until I cut it, but the green and gold look phenomenal! especially the center blank, the gold looks like flames. I am so excited about these blanks! I will post pictures as soon as I get a chance to produce something out of them.:biggrin::biggrin:

I have about 8 different shades of gold pigment and Aztec is one of them. I have yet to use Aztec because it looked too cartoonish in small samples.

Just so I understand, did you mix green pigment with the gold to get that look or is that just Aztec pigment. It looks really cool!

I mixed the gold in one container and the green in another, then simultaneously poured them into the PVC molds, swirling the 2 mixtures as it filled.

Looks great. What size mold are you using and where did you get it?

You can do a SuperSonic pen in tribute to all the new arena talk around Seattle!

I can visualize the old Sonics logo (with a decal) right on that bad boy....

Thank you. I use schedule 40, 3/4 inch PVC pipe 6" long. Its just a hunk of regular ole water pipe. I saw a video on You Tube with a guy casting blanks in the PVC and thought that it was a great idea. It works very well for me and there is a lot less waste over square blanks. :smile-big:
