I received this in my mail today from my pen swap partner in Austrailia. A gold Cambridge dressed in birdseye huon pine. The wood is stunning and the finish is top notch. Certainly a gift that will go in my personal collection for show. A great gift in return for a totally Texas pen he got from me. I think I really got the better part of this swap.

Charlie,
Mypen swap partner was a young man with a brand new 6 mo old baby girl. He goes by eisbaer and his name is Kier Tierney from Indooroopilly, Queensland. It seems he doesn't have a lot of time left in the day to set aside a few hours to turn a pen and told me to bear with him. I'm glad I had him. He did a fine job and I'm proud to add his pen to my collection.
 
Hi everyone,

I just got notified by Alex that the pen arrived in good order and he linked me to here on IAP. I must say I'm absolutely blown away by everyone's responses. Thank you so much for the praise.

Sadly Alex is right when he says I don't get much time for this any more. Work commitments, a new baby and other such complications tend to take my time away from me. This pen was a pleasure to turn and knowing it is appreciated by its new owner has put a smile on my face that I can't wipe off.

Thanks again everyone, and thank you Alex for your pen also. Would it be prudent of me to post a photo of it on here so everyone can see how amazing it is?

By all means post it up!! We all enjoy seeing each others best work. Welcome to IAP stop by and chat when you get some time there is a awesome group of people here and looks like you could teach some of us a thing or two as well!
